Description

Tindora (Ivy Gourd)

Tindora, also known as Ivy Gourd, Kovakkai, Dondakaya or Kundru, is a popular fresh vegetable widely used in Indian cuisine. It has a mild flavour and a pleasantly firm texture that works especially well in stir-fries, curries and traditional vegetable dishes.

Tindora can be sliced into rounds or lengthwise and cooked with onions, tomatoes, lentils, coconut and aromatic Indian spices. It is particularly popular in South Indian-style poriyal and fry recipes.
